David Moyes is confident that his contract situation at West Ham will be resolved soon... as he insists they are 'well down the line' in talks with his current deal to expire in the summer

David Moyes is confident a new West Ham contract will be finalised in the next few weeks.

Hammers boss Moyes, who has led the club to sixth in the Premier League and into the last 16 of the Europa League this season, will be out of contract in the summer.

But he said: 'We'll get back on it now the transfer window is shut. We're well down the line and moving on with it.

'We'll pick that up again in the next few weeks.'

There are still murmurings of discontent among some West Ham supporters despite their strong first half of the season and Moyes leading the club to a first trophy in 43 years in the Europa Conference League last May.
