Harry Arter’s main memory of the last time he travelled to West Brom is not of the match, but his tortured emotions while staying at the team hotel.
It was the Bournemouth midfielder’s first away trip after he and partner Rachel suffered the unimaginable anguish of going through the still birth of their daughter Renee.
‘I can remember it like yesterday, walking into that hotel,’ says Arter.
‘It was Christmas time (2015) and I remember just seeing families with their kids and it was tough because I was thinking, “I wish that was me”.
