Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe happy to frustrate Tottenham Hotspur

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said Saturday's goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur was more satisfying than last week's 6-1 thrashing of Hull.

Spurs missed the chance to go top of the table after being frustrated in a game of few chances at the Vitality Stadium in Saturday's early kick-off.

Erik Lamela struck the woodwork for the visitors in the first half after Cherries full-back Charlie Daniels had earlier seen his effort turned on to the crossbar by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, but Howe was pleased to stifle the opposition.

"I think the 90 minutes today pleased me more," he told Sky Sports.
