AFC Bournemouth injury blow: Callum Wilson ruled out for the season with ruptured anterior cruciate ligament

AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson's season is over after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

The 24-year-old, who has been unfortunate with injuries in recent years, has scored six goals in 21 appearances this season but will now miss the remainder of the campaign after injuring his left knee in training.

He is expected to be ruled out for around six months, with manager Eddie Howe telling the club's official website: “We are all devastated for Callum.

“What’s important now is that he receives the support and love of his family and friends, teammates and everyone associated with AFC Bournemouth.
