Sox stumble to finish after Pedroia's first HR

It was an unspectacular performance by Wilson, but just what the Orioles needed, as the righty allowed six hits and three runs over six innings. Wilson was promoted from Triple-A Norfolk to make the start.

Kyle Kendrick didn't fare nearly as well in his return from Triple-A for Boston, allowing eight hits and six runs over four innings. The sinkerballer was called on to replace knuckleballer Steven Wright, who is out for the season with a left knee injury that will require surgery next week.

Dustin Pedroia hit his first homer of the season for the Red Sox.
