Hanley Ramirez told ESPN Deportes that his sore shoulder feels fine and that he plans to begin playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic's Winter League next month.
A spokesman from Red Sox said that Ramirez' participation in winter ball has only "been discussed" and that the club could not confirm or deny the report.
"I have begun to train, I've been working out for the last two weeks," Ramirez told longtime ESPN Deportes reporter Enrique Rojas in Miami, his remarks translated from Spanish. Ramirez said that he no longer feels discomfort in his shoulder. "I will play in the Dominican Republic in the coming weeks, that's what I'm preparing for.
