When an Astros fan impeded his chances of robbing a home run in Game 4, Betts said after the game that he was positive he would have made the play.
Granted, umpire Joe West called Jose Altuve out on a controversial ruling, but fans were left wondering whether Betts was right.
On Thursday, in Game 5, Betts showed them a glimpse of what he was talking about, reminding them that he’s capable of acrobatics most players aren’t. No, this catch wasn’t as remarkable as that one would have been, and no, it wasn’t as pivotal, but it was certainly impressive.
