BOSTON -- Jackie Bradley Jr. wasted no time extending his hitting streak to 28 games on Tuesday night, lacing Rockies left-hander Jorge De La Rosa's first pitch of the bottom of the second inning for a double off the Green Monster in left-center.

The Red Sox outfielder is now halfway to Joe DiMaggio's Major League record of 56 games, set nearly 75 years ago. Bradley is just the 15th player since the turn of the century to get that far.
