Jackie Bradley Jr. the star again as Red Sox pummel Yankees, 8-0

It was a brutal annihilation on the field at Fenway Park Saturday night, where the Red Sox slaughtered the New York Yankees in the most convincing win over their Bronx rivals in at least five years.

It started in the second inning, when Jackie Bradley Jr. drove in his first of three runs (more than the Yankees have scored all series), continued through the seventh, when Rick Porcello pitched his last dominant inning, and finished in the ninth, when Junichi Tazawa slammed the door on an 8-0 victory.

It was the Red Sox’ first nine-inning shutout over the Yankees since Josh Beckett threw six clean innings in a 6-0 win in 2011.
