Mike Hazen went into work at Fenway Park this past Sunday morning.
It was a warm day, one of the last of the year, perhaps, on a holiday weekend, but he left his wife and four kids at home and headed to the office, even though the season is over for the Red Sox and on the surface there is nothing immediately pressing that Hazen should be dealing with as the team’s general manager.
Take a day off, perhaps?
But it probably won’t surprise anyone who knows Hazen, including his father, Norm, who has grown used to this sort of behavior.
