Great expectations

The Red Sox have had plenty of players listed on the Baseball America Top 100 prospects list, and while some have swam, others have sank. Andrew Benintendi comes into this season as the No. 1 prospect in the game. Like Benintendi, almost all of these highly ranked prospects dipped their toes into the majors before their rookie year, but here’s how they fared in their first full season:

Skinny: Lester’s battle with lymphoma pushed his first full season back to 2008, but when given a clean bill of health, he did not disappoint.
