The Red Sox faced off with the Twins in last night’s game after a rain delay of about 90 minutes. With the game starting at 9:30pm EST it felt like one of the games from the west coast swing. The Sox had Clay Buchholz on the mound and while he struggled in the 1st inning, he settled in and gave a pretty good performance. Buchholz only allowed two runs, but when the offense only scores one run you are still looking at a loss.
Buchholz has been plagued this season by giving up runs in the 1st inning and he would continue that trend last night.
