The 2015 Red Sox aren’t giving fans much to celebrate, but at least for a bit tonight there will be reason to cheer at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox will salute the 40th anniversary of their 1975 AL pennant-winning team before tonight’s game against Tampa. The Sox will also wear throwback uniforms - complete with red caps, it seems - honoring the sartorial splendor of Jim Rice, Carlton Fisk, et al.
Fans will receive Fisk bobbleheads - commemorating his iconic home run in the 1975 World Series - at the game tonight. He, Rice, Dwight Evans, Luis Tiant and Carl Yastrzemski are among the former Sox expected to participate in the ceremony.
