MINNEAPOLIS -- In the midst of some recent struggles at the plate, the Boston Red Sox will try to avoid a sweep at the hands of the surprisingly hot Minnesota Twins on Wednesday afternoon at Target Field.

Red Sox manager John Farrell dropped slugger David Ortiz to No. 5 in the order before Tuesday night's 2-1 loss in attempt to generate a spark.
