CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Twelve Boston College athletic teams were recognized Wednesday with the NCAA APR (Academic Progress Rate) Public Recognition Award.
Each year, the awards are bestowed upon teams finishing in the top 10 percent of their respective sport based on the most recent multi-year APR.
Boston College's 12 programs recognized include: women's cross country, football, men's golf, women's golf, women's ice hockey, lacrosse, rowing, men's skiing, men's indoor track and field, women's indoor track and field, men's outdoor track and field and women's outdoor track and field.
"We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our students on and off the field," Director of Athletics Brad Bates said.
