Earlier this week, the Washington Wizards learned they would lose their veteran presence in the forward position when Paul Pierce announced he would sign with old coach Doc Rivers and the Los Angeles Clippers. They wasted no time in getting Pierce's replacement, acquiring former Boston College Eagle Jared Dudley from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for a future second round pick.
The deal cannot become official until July 9th, per NBA rules.
Dudley played one season for the Bucks, averaging 7.2 point and 3.1 rebounds last season with Milwaukee.
