Training camp starts in less than a month and there is as much hype around the Boston Celtics as any team in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics added All-Star center Al Horford and sharpshooter Gerald Green through free agency this summer. If their young core takes the next steps in their development then the Celtics have a chance to be even better than their surprising 2015-16 campaign.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are still safely being considered the best team in the East coming off their first championship in franchise history. While LeBron James-led teams don’t always clinch the top seed in the East, it seems like a safe bet that they’ll be able to duplicate their 57 win season from a season ago, that was good enough to clinch the top seed in the East.
