PHOENIX — In an attempt to drive interest in today’s game against the Celtics, the Suns are using Isaiah Thomas’ image in electronic signage.
Beyond the fact one would think the club wouldn’t wish to remind its followers that it let Thomas get away, the move is a bit odd to the point guard who only wanted to be wanted.
“They didn’t put me on a billboard when I was playing for the Suns,” he said before the Celts worked out here yesterday. “So I guess that’s cool. I don’t know.
“I mean, I definitely wanted to be on a billboard when I was here, but it is what it is.
