CelticsBlog’s Midseason Awards: MVP

Keith Smith: Isaiah Thomas. Who else could it be? Not only has he carried the scoring load and lifted single-handedly won several games, but he's provided us with a season's worth of memories in just one half of a season.

Bill Sy: The numbers are the numbers. There's no disputing how effective Isaiah Thomas has been (particularly in the clutch in the 4th quarter), but what's made Thomas so special this season is that he's working within the Celtics' system. With MVP candidates, you get the sense that James Harden and Russell Westbrook are everything to their team; Thomas is team first.
