CelticsBlog’s Midseason Awards: biggest surprise/most improved

Bill Sy: Avery Bradley's progress under Brad Stevens has been steady, but I really didn't expect for him to find this other gear this season. He showed an uncharacteristic bravado early in training camp--campaigning for Defensive Player of the Year--and it's translated in his offensive game. He's seeing the floor better and that's made him a more effective playmaker. He's shooting a career-high from behind the arc and has added rebounding to his repertoire. We shouldn't be surprised that AB continues to improve, but this season's jump has been his best.
