Celtics still looking up at Cavs

For a series that generated some emotional fire in the first round of last season’s playoffs, the reunion game was subdued.

Kevin Love and Kelly Olynyk had already made peace, though the former probably enjoyed up-faking the Celtics forward to the rafters for a fourth-quarter layup last night. Jae Crowder ad J.R. Smith didn’t even speak.

Even the crowd was curiously seat-bound in the Celtics’ 89-77 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers last night.

This time, the problem wasn’t a matter of getting stops against a talented team.

“Defensively we did what we were supposed to do,” C’s coach Brad Stevens said.
