Despite an unexpected playoff appearance the Boston Celtics still struggled tremendously at points last season. While Brad Stevens was able to continually get offense out of his great system, it was the defensive end that always held the team back.
The Celtics had promising defensive guards but with no presence in the paint the Celtics rarely showed any resistance. The Celtics know that if they are ever going to be a contender in the east they will have to be better on the defensive end.
Even though the Celtics will continue to be better on the offensive end they are starting to build a young core that may be formidable on the defensive end.
