Earlier this week, ESPN Forecast published the results of their poll for Eastern Conference champions in 2015-16. Here's what they came up with:
1. Cavs: 158 pts
2. Bulls: 53 pts
3. Heat: 29 pts
4. Wizards 15 pts
5. Hawks 14 pts
6. Pacers, Raptors and Celtics 3 pts
The question is, what do the points even mean? There's no mention of how they are calculated. One thing I can say for sure, ESPN didn't ask 278 (the total number of points listed) people "Who's going to win the East?
