Over the last 96 years, there have certainly been lots of unique characters who have donned the Spoked-B. As a result, those players earned plenty of colorful nicknames.
Some of these nicknames have been created by the fanbase, others by the media, but most come from the players themselves.
Some nicknames make perfect sense, as they accurately capture a player’s attributes or style of play, while others just seem completely random, or in true hockey fashion, just add an “-sy” to the end of a player’s name.
For players, nicknames can have great importance, as they’re often a sign of trust and friendship, which are two key components of successful organizations.
