Boston Bruins: Brad Marchand Named To 2016 World Cup Of Hockey Roster

After being left off of Team Canada’s original roster, Brad Marchand has finally been named to represent his country at the World Cup of Hockey in September. Many felt that Brad Marchand‘s all-around talent and breakout 37-goal season should have merited him a spot on Team Canada’s roster automatically, but it’s also hard to ignore the fact that there are many elite talents hailing from Canada in the NHL who are equally as deserving of the opportunity. Some notable omissions from Canada’s roster include Kris Letang and PK Subban.

Per the Boston Bruins’ official website, this is the fifth time Brad Marchand is playing for Canada internationally.
