Which is cool and fun, and a nice flashback to that first Fiesta Bowl win, but I really wish the national media would give as much exposure to the fact that Boise State has just become a very well-coached, disciplined powerhouse. BSU doesn’t need trick plays to win. From a functional standpoint, the trick plays on that first drive are very smart by our coaching staff in that it puts every defense they play the rest of the year on guard, but it became a national headline I saw all over the internet yesterday. No press is bad press, but still—I’d quite rather people just got to see highlights of Boise State going head up and thoroughly beating a PAC-12 team on the road.
