State Board approves deals for BSU coordinators, Harsin bonuses; FBA coming in 2018

The Idaho State Board of Education voted Thursday in Moscow in unanimous approval of proposed contract changes for offensive coordinator Zak Hill, defensive coordinator Andy Avalos and coach Bryan Harsin.

Hill, who takes over as the sole offensive coordinator and play-caller, is now on a two-year contract that will pay him a base salary of $285,000 per season, a pay bump of $70,000 annually. Avalos received an extension through the 2018 season and will make $315,000 annually, a slight $10,000 raise.

Three new bonuses were approved for Harsin: $50,000 for winning the Mountain Division (an increase of $35,000), $75,000 for winning the conference championship (an increase of $25,000) and $125,000 for reaching a College Football Playoff semifinal (an increase of $25,000).
