NEW YORK – Villanova’s Andy Butler has been named BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week for the first time this fall and St. John’s freshman Linda Wang took BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week honors after winning the St. John’s Invitational.

Andy Butler, Villanova, Jr. – Butler shot a one-over-par 217 at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in a meet that included 14 of GolfStat’s top 35 ranked teams. Butler was a consistent performer, carding a 73 in the first round followed by a 72 in the second and third rounds.
