Hours after the Omaha Police Dept. confirmed that he was a suspect in a sexual assault investigation, the OPD has issued an arrest warrant for Creighton Bluejays point guard Maurice Watson Jr.
David Earl of KETV NewsWatch 7 in Omaha was first to report the news. The warrant, as the tweet states below, is a felony warrant with a charge of first-degree sexual assault.
Creighton University had announced a suspension that was levied to Watson from all athletic-related activities on Wednesday afternoon, which began back on February 13, for “alleged actions that are contrary to University policies and core values.
