Georgetown Wins First BIG EAST Women's Golf Title

CALLAWASSIE ISLAND, S.C. – After finishing second in each of the past three years, Georgetown led from start to finish and won the 2017 BIG EAST Women’s Golf Championship Presented by Jeep at the Callawassie Island Golf Club. The Hoyas, who captured their first women’s golf championship in program history, showed to be the deepest team in the field, placing three golfers in the top five places. Butler sophomore Lauren Tibbets shot the low rounds of the day on Saturday and Sunday and won the individual title with a two-over-par 218.

Georgetown took first place with a team score of 896, 32 over par.
