The Jayhawks snapped a 15-game losing streak with a win to open the season against Rhode Island, then shocked Texas in Week 12 with an overtime victory, their first in 20 Big 12 games. In between and after, there were 10 losses, which led to a second consecutive last-place league finish. The Jayhawks, in the process, showed notable improvement in coach David Beaty’s second season.
