Baylor PF Johnathan Motley has surgery to repair torn meniscus

Baylor all-Big 12 forward Johnathan Motley underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee, the school confirmed Thursday night.

Motley's recovery time is expected to be four to six weeks, according to Baylor.

A redshirt junior, Motley has not yet announced his NBA intentions. He has been projected potentially as a late first-round selection but waved off any questions about the draft following Baylor's 70-50 loss to South Carolina in the Sweet Sixteen.

It was in that game that Motley tore his meniscus but he continued to play. He scored 18 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
