Steve Smith Sr. has microfractures in back; Michael Campanaro on IR, Ravens acquire WR Chris Givens

The Ravens, who were down to three healthy receivers by the end of their 23-20 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, have added some depth at the position, acquiring Chris Givens from the St. Louis Rams today for a conditional draft pick.

Givens, a fourth-round pick in 2012 out of Wake Forest, has 88 catches for 1,433 yards and four touchdowns in parts of four NFL seasons. He had fallen down the Rams’ wide receiver depth chart and had just one catch for seven yards this season.

To make room for Givens on the 53-man roster, the Ravens moved second-year wide receiver Michael Campanaro to injured reserve with a back injury.
