NFL owners vote four rules changes to be implemented for the upcoming season

During the NFL Spring League meetings, the NFL owners passed several rule changes that will affect the game play for this season.

  1. The overtime period was changed from 15 minutes to 10 minutes, as per Adam Schefter
  2. The NFL owners have removed the 75-man roster, meaning teams will go from 90 players to 53 in one massive cutdown day, as per Ian Rapoport.
  3. Each team now has the ability to activate two players from the I.R. to return to the active 53-man roster, as per Ian Rapoport
  4. The NFL has loosened the reigns on its rules on celebrations.
