Ravens running back Justin Forsett and former Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith are headed to Flint, Mich., on Tuesday to lend support to the city as it grapples with a growing water crisis.
Forsett wrote on his personal blog last week that he had partnered with a group of about 20 NFL players to donate about $100,000 worth of body wipes and water — Forsett's company, ShowerPill, produces antibacterial body wipes — and tweeted Tuesday that he was flying to Flint.
"We are not trying to just put a Band-Aid on the situation, but are looking to make a real impact and hopefully work on long-term solutions," Forsett wrote last week.
