As injuries mount and some of the Ravens’ offseason roster questions remain unanswered, there are now questions of whether the Ravens should look to players released or deemed expendable by their present teams for some help.
After this week’s first cutdown date, the Ravens presently have a little over $7.5M in Salary Cap space available. Having $7.5M in Cap space sounds great and would seem to allow them ample space to go and acquire some additional players, but it also ignores how the Salary Cap actually works and the operation of the Rule of 51.
