Cornerback Asa Jackson, tight end Allen Reisner injured in preseason opener

Cornerback Asa Jackson was the Ravens’ first-choice kick and punt returner, and took snaps with the second-team defense.

But the fourth-year cornerback saw his night cut short when the team announced he was questionable to return with a knee injury midway through the second quarter.

He got up slowly and limped to the sidelines after Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks’ 28-yard touchdown reception with 7:41 remaining in the second quarter. Jackson was blocked and brought to the ground by a Saints offensive lineman, and remained down until the play ended.

Jackson had two punt returns for 17 yards and did not return a kick.
