Ravens Waive Cam Worthy, Add Another Receiver

The Ravens waived injured undrafted rookie wide receiver Cam Worthy on Wednesday. Worthy injured his foot during Organized Team Activities in June.

Baltimore made an interesting signing to fill the empty roster spot.

The Ravens added Tom Nelson, who has played safety for three years in the NFL but will convert to wide receiver with the Ravens – a rare position switch.

Nelson was previously an undrafted rookie (2009) signed by the Cincinnati Bengals. He played in 12 games and started three as a rookie, making 25 tackles and one interception. Nelson dropped to eight games played and no starts in his second year in Cincinnati before being released.
