Over the past three days, the Orioles’ most glaring weaknesses have become magnified against the Kansas City Royals. They arrived in the Midwest with the best record in the American League but boarded a plane for Detroit on Sunday night having played their worst weekend of baseball of this young season.
The Orioles were swept out of Kansas City after their ugly 9-8 loss to the Royals at Kauffman Stadium and have lost four straight games overall. The Orioles have lost 10 of their past 12 games in Kansas City dating to May 2014.
