THe Orioles will play their second intrasquad game today at 11:30 at Ed Smith Stadium before opening the Grapefruit League exhibitiion season on Friday against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland.
Right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez will start for one of the teams and Kevin Gausman will start start for the other. The pitching schedule had to be rearranged when Zach Britton was scratched from his scheduled intrasquad outing because of oblique soreness.
Jimenez said before the game that he was looking forward to turning the page on last year with his first competitive outing of the season.
