Starting pitcher David Hale gave up three runs in the fourth inning but only one was earned as the leadoff batter reached on error. Hale didn't help his cause though, giving up two doubles and a single in the inning. He lasted just 4.2 innings before being replaced by Zach Phillips. Phillips didn't allow a baserunner and struck out four.
The Tides had just four hits in the game and two were from Mike Yastrzemski.
