Orioles minor league rundown 5/22: Bud Norris does badly

Some good things happened in the Orioles minor leagues on Friday, but none of those things involved the rehab start of Bud Norris. They rocked Bud like a hurricane.

This was the first rehab start for the ailing Bud Norris. It did not go well. Bud got bombed, plain and simple. He was torched for 12 hits in 2.2 innings and gave up a whopping nine runs, including two home runs to Kennys Vargas of the Red Wings. By game's end, Rochester had 17 hits, which is somewhat astounding when you remember that minor league doubleheaders only play to seven innings.
