John Means started for the Tides and took the loss. Over 4.1 innings, he allowed three runs on six hits, three walks and three strikeouts. Jhan Marinez was first out of the bullpen. The righty delivered 2.2 scoreless innings while striking out four and walking one. Joely Rodriguez tossed the final two innings and gave up a run on three hits, a walk and two K’s.
Norfolk’s offense never really got much going. Their first run came in the second inning off of consecutive singles from Garabez Rosa, Jaycob Brugman and Ruben Tejada.
