Baltimore Orioles Manager Brandon Hyde was named Manager of the Year by Baseball America.
The Orioles were projected to finish below .500 and last in the American League East. Hyde led Baltimore to 83 wins in 2022, 31 more than the previous year.
Hyde becomes the second Orioles manager to win the award. Former Orioles manager Buck Showalter won the award in 2012 and 2014.
This isn't the first award Hyde has earned this year. He was also named the American League Manager of the Year by The Sporting News.
