Poor Chris Davis.
The guy knocks in two runs, including the eventual game-winner with a sixth-inning home run, and all anyone wants to talk about is his awful-looking mustache.
The Orioles slugger had let his beard and mustache go until it was threatening the Orioles’ strict no-beard rule, so he shaved the beard but kept the mustache.
And it looks terrible. But he can’t shave it off now.
To quote the great Crash Davis from the movie Bull Durham — “… a player on a streak has to respect the streak.” He wasn’t talking about the Orioles’ Crush Davis, but the unwritten baseball rule certainly applies to him.
