MUNCIE, Ind. — Linc Darner doesn’t know if he ever envisioned taking a season off from college basketball when his time as the head coach at Green Bay ended in May 2020; it’s just what ended up happening.
As he put it recently, discussing why he joined BSU men’s basketball’s coaching staff as an assistant, “being so late in the game” it was hard for him to find the right opportunity. Add the pandemic on top of that, and the pandemic lasting much longer than Darner ever dreamed, and the past year just ended up transpiring as it did.
