When the Class 4A Homestead Sectional draw was announced, Central could not have gotten a better matchup.
The Bearcats (2-16) will play Fort Wayne Wayne (1-16) in the opening game. Precious Peak has been dominant on defense for Central and is averaging 6.1 blocks per game.
"We've come a really long way since the season began," Central coach Lisa Blalock said. "This team has shown more improvement than any other team I've coached ... every day we're working to get better with our fundamentals, on both offense and defense."
Jay County (12-7) got the hardest draw in the Homestead Sectional.
