MUNCIE, Ind. — Overnight, Tanner Lambert lost 12 pounds.
When he woke up Friday morning, he knew he wouldn't be able to play. He let Delta basketball coach Ryan VanSkyock know. Food poisoning had taken over and while Delta won its semifinal game, Lambert tried to recover.
One night later, Lambert caught fire from deep and was a major reason why Delta knocked off Wes-Del 60-50 to win the Delaware County Tournament championship for the second year in a row.
"I texted coach (VanSkyock) and told him that I would be at walkthroughs in the morning and was going to try to play," Lambert said.
