How Brady Sallee will remember Clephane, Dis Agustsdottir and the 2022-23 season

MUNCIE, Ind. — Brady Sallee stopped Anna Clephane after subbing her out for the final time.

Down 17 points with 1:17 minutes remaining in Monday's 79-62 WNIT second-round loss to Memphis, the redshirt senior's Ball State women's basketball career came to an end. Despite her mounting emotions, Sallee put his arm around his top scorer and thanked Clephane for her impact on the team's historic 2022-23 season and in her five years with the Cardinals.

She overcame an ACL tear in each knee and doubts about returning for this season to become just the 10th player under Sallee to eclipse 1,000 career points.
