MUNCIE, Ind. — As Ball State head coach Mike Neu met Toledo head coach Jason Candle for the customary hand shake near midfield after the game, ESPN’s cameras caught Neu angrily saying something to a surprised Candle and walking away.
After Ball State’s 45-13 loss at Toledo on Wednesday night, Neu was frustrated that Candle and the Rockets called a deep post route with 1:23 remaining and a 25-point lead.
“I was disappointed that he felt the need to keep attacking with the post route,” Neu told the Star Press after the game. “It was frustration on my part.
